Special Thanks

... to Neal Berry of Clearbuilt Technologies (www.clearbuilt.com) for website assistance

... to Bobby McVey of BMc Graphics (bmcgrafx@bellsouth.net) for graphic artwork

As owner/operator of BMc Graphics, I am extremely proud to be a supporter of Hugs for our Soldiers. My family has a proud tradition of military service throughout its generations. BMc Graphics, Inc. was started in 1997, servicing Atlanta and Georgia accounts, and now serves national accounts, including a leading fast-food franchisee.

Baby Wipes Donation
Thanks to David Couture, over 500 containers of baby wipes were generously donated to Hugs for Our Soldiers by Rock Tenn Company of Norcross, Georgia.  Baby wipes are an every day necessity for our troops who are in combat outposts many miles away from their home base.  If you would like to make a donation to help get these shipped overseas, you can do so online (click here) or mail a check to:

Kool Kollars Project
The Tellico Village Community Church Crafters took on a new project at their May meeting: making Kool Kollars for Hugs for Our Soldiers to send to the troops.  The Kool Kollars are a long piece of fabric sewn together and hold polymer beads. The Kollar is soaked in water and placed around the neck to help keep the body cool. The Kollar will stay cool as long as it is wet. These Kollars are reusable and all the soldier needs to do is soak in water before using. The instructions are being sent along with the Kollars, so the soldiers will know how to take care of them and reuse this item.  The TVCC Crafters wanted to let our troops know they support them and are thinking of them.  THANK YOU, CRAFTERS!!!

 Operation:  Taste OF HOME

Hugs is SO PROUD of our Daisy Troops, Brownies and Girl Scouts for the good job they did in collecting 3,010 boxes of cookies for our soldiers!!  Most have been shipped overseas to our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait, and others were included in our Welcome Home packages for single soldiers returning to barracks that were empty of everything.   On behalf of Hugs and our soldiers, THANK YOU for helping give our military men and women a little "Taste of Home"!!!
